Fateful Encounter with an Old Flame
Sewaktu berkunjung ke Kiosk Bukit Bintang ni utk mencari jajan emergency sebab perut aku dah rasa lain macam jek, aku terjumpa buku ni…

Buku ni merupakan koleksi foto2 hitam putih yang diambil oleh ketiga2 jurugambar tu, untuk majalah2 seperti NME dan Melody Maker. Setiap sesi fotografi disertakan dengan naratif ringkas tentang lokasi, konsert dan paling menarik, reaksi Kurt Cobain pada setiap kali sesi penggambaran. Tak hairanlah mengapa beliau digelar “reluctant spokesman of a generation”. Apparently, fame yang diperolehi menerusi muzik, amat membuatnya tertekan, dan ditambah dengan ketagihan dadah, Kurt telah membunuh diri dengan menembak kepalanya pada 8 April 1994.

Aku mula kenal band ni, masa nonton siri TV Life Goes On. (aku rasa aku dah pernah explain dalam post tentang Pearl Jam dulu) Fine, I told myself. Aku boleh study, boleh skor (walaupun tak dapat DL every sem), tapi aku takkan minat dengan akaun. Never!(*) Sejak tu, aku jadi rebel. Dan dari situ juga bermula minat aku dengan muzik bergenre keras \m/. Rock on babeh!
Nirvana dan pengaruhnya dalam hidup aku
Firstly, the clothings. During my diploma days, aku suka sangat pakai t-shirt funky kat dalam, dan flannel shirt kat luar, tapi kalau lalu depan post pak guard tu, cam cuak sikit la. Dan bermula dengan Nirvana, aku mula mengenali band2 grunge lain, terutamanya dari Seattle, seperti Alice In Chains, Mudhoney, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, SoundGarden, Sonic Youth, Smashing Pumpkins dan ramai lagi. Pendek kata, Nirvana berperanan sebagai mukadimah dalam dunia muzik kegemaran aku. \m/

So, which songs are your fave?
Well, aku start dengan Nevermind, yang mana pada aku merupakan album terbaik band ni (bila aku kata terbaik, maknanya aku boleh dengar dari mula sampai habis tanpa skip mana2 lagu, just like what I did with The Black Parade). Kemudian, aku beli Unplugged in NY (which was fuckin’ awesome!), dan pinjam In Utero ngan member. In no particular order, 10 lagu Nirvana kegemaran aku ialah:

“They (NME) never used the portrait of Cobain that I spent the whole night in the darkroom printing and reprinting trying to improve, bringing in the eyes more or darkening the background. I thought Kurt looked like a total lost-it rock star with the eyeliner. For a micro-second, he had given me a deep, soulful, unguarded stare.” Martyn Goodacre, London, Oct 1990.
Ironinya, gambar Kurt ni tidak digunakan sehinggalah dua ke tiga tahun selepas itu, dan lebih banyak digunakan selepas Kurt membunuh diri. Bak kata Goodacre “I’ve counted the picture on at least 30 front covers of various publications over the last 9 years. It was the photographer’s equivalent of getting a number one in the charts.”
Pengalaman menakutkan dengan Nirvana
Aku pernah tampal giant poster Nirvana kat dalam bilik aku masa kat kolej dulu. Nak dijadikan cerita, satu malam ni, satu kolej black-out. (btw, aku duduk bilik sorang dari semester 2 sampai ke semester 6 – bilik 319, kolej Cempaka 3) dan ntah mcm mana, aku nampak poster Nirvana aku ni lain macam jek (yelah, dah la gelap, pastuh yang ko gatal2 gi tampal gambar orang mati kat bilik tu buat pe?). Bulu roma aku rasa cam meremang jek, dan aku terus keluar dan dok lepak kat bilik member sampai elektrik ada. Takut siot! Lepas tu, terus aku tanggalkan poster tu. Tobat beb!
(*) Walaupun tak minat, tapi aku rasa bidang ni memang sesuai untuk aku, sebab aku ni jenis yang introverted. Jenis yg sanggup duduk mengadap report atau PC berjam2 lamanya daripada bertemu dan berinteraksi dengan manusia secara face to face. Memang, memang aku tak reti. Sampai la sekarang ni.
Trivia:
Video klip Smell Like Teen Spirit (yang mana pernah diparodi oleh Weird Al-Yankovich utk lagu Smells Like Nirvana) telah diarahkan oleh Samuel Bayer, yang mana merupakan pengarah dua video klip MyChem – Welcome to the Black Parade dan Famous Last Words. Walaubagaimanapun, disebabkan kecederaan yang dialami ketika penggambaran klip video FLW, MyChem mengambil keputusan untuk menggunakan khidmat pengarah kegemaran mereka, Marc Webb, utk video klip single berikutnya, iaitu I Don’t Love You. (Marc juga merupakan pengarah video klip Helena, I’m Not Okay dan Ghost of You).

Heroes Update, Yo.
Heroes Episode 15 & 16
* CONTAINS LOTS AND LOTS OF SPOILERS *
Cue : Lagu “Lady in Red” by Chris DeBurgh. Missy Pyle is in Heroes !
Enche’ Sylar, killing that poor dude is bad enough, but stealing and wearing his Ramones shirt?? Ahaha, this guy is so full of surprises.
Nathan Petrelli’s new campaign slogan – Grab life by the ball. :) Sigh, this gaze really, really reminds me why I was head over heels with Jim Profit dulu.
Damn, it’s pretty hard to see her smile nowadays. I mean, with her mom being hospitalized, her family and close friend being brain-washed by the Haitian, AND discovering that her real parents really did intend to leave her to die when she was a baby, aku pun akan rasa depressed gak. Not to mention yang dia dah tak boleh percayakan Encik Bennett lagi. Hmmm… apa pun, dengan cliffhanger di episode 16 ni, aku harap episod 17 akan ada lebih surprises and action!
And just because I can’t get enough of Zachary Quinto aka Sylar…
Kata wanita bertelinga bionik tu, “I lied awake at night, thinking that my head was gonna explode. A cockroach crawling across my neighbour’s floor was like a marching band, parading through my house”
The moment I heard this, I was like, Whoa! Jeph Loeb (the writer) pun minat MyChem ke ?, hehe…
And another good thing is, we get to see more action from another ‘Flying Man’ (woah! Aku betul2 tak sangka dia akan guna power tu there and then) dan telepathic man aka Matt Parkman.
Satu babak yang aku tunggu2! Sorry honey, tapi kau tak boleh berkongsi kasih dua lelaki kacak yang berkebolehan luar biasa pada satu masa. Dan, aku rasa cadangan dia kepada Nathan tu, lame gila. :P
Dan, satu lagi cameo yang kelakar…
Stan Lee ftw! Ahaha! Macam teringat2 lagi cameo dia dalam X-Men: the Last Stand, sebagai jiran Jean Grey yang sedang asyik menyiram pokok.
PS: Kali ni aku rasa aku nak power Hana Gitelman pulak, sebab tak perlu risau kalau server down atau takde masa untuk update blog. All I have to do is just THINK about it, and voila! Siap!

5 Tales of Chemical Memes, hehe...

FYI, I’ve done something similar here and here.
5 things I would do if I were a millionaire:
Hmmm… tough gak ni. Masa dapat RM1K pocket money hadiah lucky draw hari tu pun jenuh nak habiskan, inikan pulak RM1mil. o.O Seriously, aku blank. Apa yang aku fikir ialah masa depan anak aku (education and whatnot) dan simpanan emergency in case something happen to me or my immediate family. Don’t laugh at my prudence, man. I’m an accountant :P
1. Settlekan semua hutang piutang, zakat dan sedekah, dan tunaikan haji (tu kira dah mampu la tu).
2. Attend at least one My Chem concert, tak kira la kat mana. Atau invite them to spend a day with me, hehe… or, or, take Brian Schecter’s job!
3. Sumbat semua dalam FD, ASB dan unit trust.
4. …
5. *fikir apa lagi yek* serious man, aku tatau nak buat apa ngan duit sebanyak tu!
5 bad habits:
1. Hot-tempered. Tapi aku belajar untuk cool down.
2. I don’t give a shit what people think of me. (Ini kira bad habit ke?)
3. Tak reti jenjalan atau makan dengan orang. Lone ranger.
4. Too obsessed with something, it’s almost frightening.
5. I just noticed that I MAY have a borderline OCD. Selain drp tendency utk menyusun semua benda according to something (alphabetical, genre, etc) aku baru perasan yang tetiap kali lepas lunch, sebelum solat Zohor, aku akan berus gigi at least 3 kali. :?
5 things I hate doing:
1. Ironing. Aku selalu iron baju sambil layan DVD. That’s the only time I have ;)
2. Sama ngan kau Ijan ~ kena buat kerja urgent yang last minute giler babi.
3. Beratur nak naik monorel yang penuh macam sardin. Tak reti2 nak masuk dalam.
4. Channel surfing, tak kira di TV or radio. I don’t believe what passed as music nowadays. *rolls eyes*
5. Attending meetings that serve no real purpose other than eating currypuffs and fried meehoon.
5 things I'll never do:
1. Have an extra-marital affair. Walaupun Gerard Way melutut depan aku, hehe… I love my husband vv much, and the sight of a certain ‘mak orang’ and ‘laki orang’ berchenta tak hengat depan mata aku, memang menyedihkan. I just hope he feels the same way too.
2. Being obsessed about a certain singer yang dapat Datukship tu. Bleh!
3. YM. I’ve wasted Wayyy too much time already.
4. Tattoos or piercing tempat yang pelik2, walaupun memang terasa sangat nak buat!
5. Be a porn star, or playmate or something along that line :P And yeah, wear pink. :D
5 things I regret doing:
1. Starting this friggin blog. It’s so addictive, it’s almost like a commitment :(
2. Not spending enough quality time with my son.
3. Calling my BIL instead of my best friend Coy as my lifeline, during my hot seat in Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. End up with RM8k instead of RM16k, bleh! (Dah takde rezeki Siti…) jgn mare, nitzus!
4. Not taking the chance to know my grandparents better, until they’re gone forever. :(
5. Ah, anw, life goes on…

1. My son :)
2. My mp3 player and mp4 player.
3. My handphone and my PC.
4. My books, magazines, stamps, DVD and VCD collection.

1. For the music and the beautiful lyrics. Sometimes I wonder how the hell can I be happy (and high!) while listening to all their dark songs?
2. For the fact that you CAN change and make it work for you.
3. For giving me a chance to bond with my youngest sister, despite the 14-years age gap (she’s 16, and also a big fan of the boys)
4. For restoring my faith in good music. The last time I was slept with my earphones on was in 1997. Now Gerard basically croon me to sleep (To The End makes such a beautiful lullaby).
5. For burning holes in my pocket, just because I just can’t resist picking up a copy of ANY magazine with them in it. And not to mention the three black MyChem t-shirts I’ve just bought * palm on face *
6. For making such cool and dance-able (yes, dance-able) videos so that I can pretend to be Gerard and my son can be Frankie, and oh how we laughed at ourselves afterwards.
7. For all the great friends I’ve made over the internet, from Malaysia *cough*sHa*cough* and all over the world! You guys are the greatest! Thanks a lot for being there whenever I need my fangirling moments.
8. For releasing LotMS, which has been my staple diet since the last three months, much to the dismay of my blog readers because they are not able to read any new movie reviews, thanks to all the MCR-related posts which have recently bombarded my blog. :P
9. For alienating me from my colleagues at work because all I do is listen to them all day on my PC, and decorating my cubicle with all things MyChem. Which is pretty weird for a number cruncher (white collar ftw!!!)
10. For the way they treat women in general, by not having groupies and stuffs.
11. For pwning Draco Malfoy by being my new favourite blond bad boy (yeah okay I know he had dyed his hair black again) *rolls eyes*
12. For just being themselves. And for telling us that it’s okay to be messed up.
13. For Ray’s fro, for now I have a new excuse to not straighten my frizzy hair, much to the dismay of the Man Upstairs (re: my husband), hehe…
Sigh.

What would you thank MCR for? I'm sure everyone can thank them for something, but what is it?

Dunia Fasis dan Fantasi Guillermo Del Toro

PAN'S LABYRINTH (2006)
* MENGANDUNGI SPOILER *
Argh! Dah lama aku tak rasa camni excited lepas menonton. Sah. Guillermo del Toro dah termasuk dalam senarai pembikin filem kegemaran aku. Selepas Cronos, Mimic dan Hellboy, beliau tampil dengan sebuah lagi filem hebat dan sekarang aku tau mengapa filem ni dapat standing ovation selama 20 minit sewaktu tayangan at Cannes. Memang menakjubkan!
Kisahnya?
Cerita mengambil tempat dalam dua dunia paralel. Realitinya, Sepanyol dalam tahun 1944, masih lagi di bawah pemerintahan Fasis yang kejam. Ofelia, seorang budak perempuan berusia 12 tahun, terpaksa mengikut ibunya yang sarat mengandung, berpindah ke satu kawasan terpencil demi menurut kemahuan bapa tirinya, seorang kapten tentera fasis yang tegas dan kejam. Sementara itu, di dunia fantasi Ofelia, beliau sebenarnya kelahiran semula seorang puteri raja underworld bernama Puteri Moanna, yang terpaksa melaksanakan tiga tugasan penting untuk membolehkannya bertemu kembali ibu bapanya yang sebenar. Dengan bantuan Pan, seekor makhluk faun dan Mercedes, orang gaji Kapten Vidal, dapatkah Ofelia mencapai hajatnya?
Dua sen aku…
Ofelia (lakonan pelakon cilik Ivana Baquero) mengingatkan aku kepada penyanyi genit Alizee. Dalam babak ni, Ofelia mamakai kostum Alice In Wonderland, mungkin sebagai homage kepada filem2 fantasi. Dan tak keterlaluan kalau aku katakan, banyak lagi reference dari filem fantasi yang aku boleh cam sepanjang filem ni, macam Spirited Away (protagonisnya budak perempuan yang ingin bertemu kembali dengan ibu bapanya, selain patung2 batu yang aneh), Harry Potter (terutama babak dengan akar mandrake tu) serta yang terbaru, MirrorMask (dunia paralel dan feel keseluruhan). Dan ya, watak faun sendiri adalah seperti referens kepada The Chronicles of Narnia- The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe (walaupun James McEvoy sebagai Encik Tumnus adalah lebih watchable, maksud aku dari segi fizikalnya la).
Secara jujur, aku lebih suka watak Mercedes berbanding watak ibu Ofelia (watak Mercedes didukung oleh Maribel Verdu ~ kau pasti ingat dia yang menjadi rebutan antara Gael Garcia dan Diego Luna dalam Y Tu Mama Tambien). Wataknya sebagai orang gaji Kapten Vidal, selain menjadi informan bagi golongan gerila yang bersembunyi di dalam hutan, memang membuat jantung berdegup kencang, terutama di setengah jam terakhir (“Kau bukan babi pertama yang aku sembelih” ~ jangan miss babak ni)
Pengarah kelahiran Mexico ni menggunakan CGI yang sangat minimal, dan lebih bermain dengan emosi watak2nya. Pada aku, filem ni, walaupun bergenre fantasi, dengan watak utamanya seorang budak, namun ia tak sesuai ditonton bersama anak2. Banyak babak2 kejam dan torture (peperangan memang satu subjek yang sadis :( ) yang membuatkan aku menutup mata dengan tangan. Sangat grafik dan ada satu babak ni, lebih kurang macam babak ‘kasi hancur itu muka’ dari filem Irreversible. * shudder *
Gila. Budak ni memang berani. I mean, kalau akulah bertemu dengan Pan ni, sure dah terpengsan sebab lemah semangat. :P Seperti juga filem2 del Toro yang lain (Hellboy, Mimic) beliau menggunakan khidmat Doug Jones sekali lagi untuk melakonkan dua watak penting dalam filem ni, iaitu Pan sang faun dan Pale Man, makhluk hodoh yang iras2 Abe Sapien* dalam Hellboy, cuma dia tak bermata, berkulit menggeleber dan, dan… dia makan budak!
Haha, babak ni memang menbuat aku terjerit! Dalam tugasan kedua, Pan telah berpesan kepada Ofelia supaya jangan makan apa2 di atas meja Pale Man, tetapi ibarat siren song (ditambah dengan perut yang lapar), Ofelia telah makan dua biji anggur! Argh!
Babak klimaks yang memerlukan Ofelia membuat satu keputusan yang sukar…

Kata Encik Del Toro dalam Empire Dec 2006 ~ “I was offered the chance to make one of the Harry Potter films and I’m one of the biggest fans of the books. But it would have been my greatest hope to actually kill one of the kids in Harry Potter. That would be so fulfilling.”
Ahem, Puan Rowling, bagaimana jika kita berikan kerusi pengarah kepada Encik Del Toro untuk filem Harry Potter ke-7? :)

If I Have My Own Hotel, This Would Be the Elevator Music
Yesterday morning.
Aku temankan husband aku gi klinik, sebab dia demam teruk (his turn, apparently, lepas aku ngan Ikmal demam teruk minggu lepas). While waiting for the clinic to open, we waited inside the car. I managed to proof-read about 3 audited financial statements while listening to this wonderful album.
My hubby: Lagu apa tu? Macam kat hotel je.
Me: MyChem la!
MH: Huh? (puzzled)
Me : Piano tribute to MyChem la.
MH : Hah? Siapa main?
Me: Ntah. Various artistes agaknya.
MH: Why would anyone pay a tribute to MyChem?
Me: Duh? Because they’re like, the biggest band in the world? *rolls eyes*
Wonderful music. Good stuff, walaupun aku lebih suka versi asal (dengan suara Gerard dan gorengan gitar kaw2 dari ToroFro). My personal favorites are WTTBP, Cancer (obviously, sebab versi asalnya pun memang takde gitar), Helena (walaupun aku tak berapa gemar versi asal) dan The Sharpest Lives.
PS: Aku bukak lagu FLW versi piano kat rumah, dan Ikmal tengok aku semacam jek o.O.

Yep, jam dah pukul 1.45 malam. Ikmal dan abahnya dah tido, and here I am, still waiting for that final load of laundry to finish. Banyak gak membasuh malam ni, with all bedsheets, pillowcases and whatnot (Thank you for the vomit, Ikmal Haniff). Sigh… ok, anyway, aku masih takleh nak tido ni, dan rasa agak bosan lepas tengok dalam lebih kurang 9 video YouTube malam ni (ya, ya, semuanya dengan Gerard and MyChem) Edit: Arghh, banyaknya video yang kena take down kat YouTube!!!! Gerard sekarang dah berambut hitam (sejak lepas Krismas hari tu), dan Yatt, dia macam kau gak, dalam proses berenti merokok (which explains the incessant gum chewing during interviews and the face is kinda chubby la sekarang ni *rasa nak cubit!* Dan aku suka gambar besar MyChem (ngan Rob Cavallo?) di muka surat 23 tu. Oh ya, tentang MCR yang hilang tu (Matt Pelissier), aku dapat info ni dari salah sorang otai MyChem di LJ.

Oh ya, tentang MCR yang hilang tu (Matt Pelissier), aku dapat info ni dari salah sorang otai MyChem di LJ.

I'm One Step Closer to the Edge & I'm About to Break
Anak aku jatuh longkang lagi hari ni.
Kali ni, bukan longkang yang kecik tu, tapi yang dalam.
Cenggini citernya.
Hari ni kitaorang bawak dia gi follow up ngan GP, sebab demam dia masih lum kebah lagi. So, sementara tunggu doktor datang, aku ingat nak breakfast dulu la kat gerai2 depan klinik tu. Aku tengah tunggu makcik ni siapkan nasi lemak aku, bila tetiba terdengar bunyi benda jatuh.
Ya Allah! Anak aku!
Apparently, kayu penutup longkang tu dah reput dan ntah macam mana anak aku boleh gi situ dan terjatuh kat dalam longkang tu. Aku terjerit2 panggil nama dia, peluk dia, omg blood!, Ya Allah, aku dah tak kira dah. Nasib baik ada sorang pakcik ni tolong selawatkan dan ntah aku tak perasan apa dia buat kat anak aku.
Aku terlupa nasi lemak, lupa teh tarik, yang aku tau, i cried harder than him. (Dan dia, as usual, bila dah tengok mama dia nangis, dia pun turut sama nangis.). Salah tu Mama. You have to be strong for your son.
(Tiap kali aku basuh luka dia dan aku nampak blood ya Allah darah anak aku)
Doktor kata, hidung dia bengkak sebab mungkin terhantuk. Mulut, bibir, kaki semua pun luka dan bengkak. Seriously, aku memang tak sanggup tengok anything happen to my son. Tapi, Alhamdulillah la, nasib baik tak kena mata atau any vital organ. Ikmal sekarang macam new unofficial member of the Fight Club (Ahem, you're NOT supposed to talk about it, remember?) Sigh...
I’m still shaking now.
Dan hari ni aku masuk ofis ngan mata yang bengkak.
Silap aku jugak ni.
I should’ve asked that pakcik to tangkalkan aku sekali tadi.
PS : Hari ni turn abah dia pulak cuti. Bukan aku pentingkan kerja or whatever, tapi, as much as I loved my son, aku pun ada responsibility gak kat ofis ni. Dan aku dah dua hari MC.
PS2 : I just hoped I could start doing my work now. Aku dah tengok report ni for the last couple of minutes tapi masih stumped. My head throbs. I think I'm gonna be sick.
PS3 : Banyak benda yang berlaku bebaru ni yang banyak memerlukan aku berSABAR. Motherhood, marriage in general is hard work. I think I need a break. I need a vacation. Sometimes, I just want to be alone. :(

Ah, you know how, *try to contain her fangurl glee from being too obvious*
PS: Aku sebenarnya dah lama gila tak dengar radio. Asyik dengar CD ngan mp3 player jek. Seriously, kalau dalam kereta pun aku dok tekan sana sini, trying to find ANY station that will play my favourite song. Kebetulan, husband aku buat kerja kat rumah, dan dia pasang radio, so, dapat la jugak aku dengar apa2 lagu yang terbaru.
Oh ya, just now adik aku sms aku (yeah, pukul 2 pagi, katanya FLW dah hit the No. 1 spot kat TRL) Yeah whatever la, orang ada Astro.

Setelah berminggu aku tunggu Total Guitar ni masuk bargain bin (keluaran November 2006), akhirnya, hari ni, my wish came true. (Dulu harganya dekat RM40, tak kuasa aku nak beli walaupun dapat free CD how to play guitar to the songs of MCR, Black Sabbath, Pantera, Anak2 Bodom, Nirvana & Peluru Untuk Valentinku.)
Dan aku betul2 tak sangka akan berjumpa majalah ni kat sini!!! Wheee!
Seriously, this haunted house story is starting to freak me out. Sometimes it DID cross my mind that Gerard had actually made a pact with the Devil, and traded his soul for the success of TBP album. I mean, how the HELL did it sound so damn good?

Balik Kampung !!!
[Atau beberapa hari sebelum aku dan Ikmal diserang demam panas dan melepek dua beranak di rumah. Aku rasa ialah sebab perubahan cuaca yang mendadak la, sebab kat kampong aku, cuaca panas sangat dan kering, and then biasa la, bila dah balik KL ni, cam manja sikit]
Sempena cuti panjang ni, aku mengambil peluang untuk pulang ke Muar (the first time sejak banjir hari tu). Kawasan rumah aku tak terlibat, tapi jalan menuju ke rumah aku agak teruk ditenggelami air, jadi, unless aku ada private helicopter, memang agak sukar la kalau nak menuju ke destinasi tu dengan selamat.
Dan buat pertama kalinya, aku dan Ikmal balik dengan bas. Sebabnya, husband aku tak dapat cuti hari Jumaat tu, dan cuma boleh balik hari Sabtu. Since bos dah approve cuti aku untuk hari Jumaat tu, hey hey, apa lagi. Aku pun mintak la izin dia nak balik kampung hari Khamis tu. Dia bagi greenlight (after much negotiation), hantar kitaorang kat Puduraya dan tunggu kat platform sampai bas jalan. Bubbye abah!
Ini bus ride Ikmal yang pertama (other than the usual but very very seldom Intra Kota rides), jadi dia mungkin excited sikit. Member spend ¾ masa perjalanan menjenguk ke tingkap, sebab biasa la, kalau naik kereta tu, tak banyak benda yang dia boleh nampak. Nasib baik bas tak penuh (ada kurang 10 penumpang dalam bas tu, so, kitaorang conquer la seat belakang!) So, buat apa kat kampung?
Alhamdulillah, parents aku sihat2 je. Yang bertambah seronok ialah bila adik2 perempuan aku pun ada balik sama, (yay! Boleh jumpa Nizwan Aliff!!! Anak sedara aku yang sekarang ni dah masuk 3 bulan dan bertambah tembam!)
Hmm… matlamat utama setiap kali balik kampung ialah nak jumpa mak ngan ayah aku, sebab pada aku la, walaupun kita rajin hantar duit tetiap bulan atau call setiap selang sehari, namun, tak sah kalau kita tak jumpa parents kita personally. Yelah, itu aje mak ngan ayah kita yang tinggal kat dalam dunia ni, so selagi diorang masih hidup, ini le masanya untuk kita berbakti kpd diorang. Jangan bila keranda di bawa, baru nak bercucuran air mata…
Aktiviti Ikmal
Hmm… orang lain kalau balik kampung, itu le masa nak lari dari teknologi tapi apakan daya, family aku memang tech-savvy.
Aku baru jek perasan, aik, bila masa lak Ikmal ada Nigel ni?
Dan akhirnya!! Menonton LOTMS ngan adik aku (tapi masa ni parents aku dah tido la, kalau tak maunya bising ayah aku.) Oh ya, parents aku baru jek install Astro kat rumah (sebab ayah aku suka tengok Animal Planet), so technically, rumah aku sekarang yang paling chokia sebab takde Astro, haha! Jangan tanya aku pasal tu, sekarang aku cuma tau Channel 71 ngan 72 jek. Itu pun aku tunggu Double Shot, kekalau ada kuar band faveret aku.
Just like moi, she knew how to decorate her bedroom, hehe…
Oh yeah, apart from 2 more MyChem shirts (satu gambo electric chair dan satu lagi gambar cover album Revenge), aku beli t-shirt baru ni. Aku tujukan khas utk peserta2 Big Brother yang tersingkir dek Shilpa Shetty tu. Oi! Oi!
[Atau beberapa hari sebelum aku dan Ikmal diserang demam panas dan melepek dua beranak di rumah. Aku rasa ialah sebab perubahan cuaca yang mendadak la, sebab kat kampong aku, cuaca panas sangat dan kering, and then biasa la, bila dah balik KL ni, cam manja sikit]
Sempena cuti panjang ni, aku mengambil peluang untuk pulang ke Muar (the first time sejak banjir hari tu). Kawasan rumah aku tak terlibat, tapi jalan menuju ke rumah aku agak teruk ditenggelami air, jadi, unless aku ada private helicopter, memang agak sukar la kalau nak menuju ke destinasi tu dengan selamat.
Dan buat pertama kalinya, aku dan Ikmal balik dengan bas. Sebabnya, husband aku tak dapat cuti hari Jumaat tu, dan cuma boleh balik hari Sabtu. Since bos dah approve cuti aku untuk hari Jumaat tu, hey hey, apa lagi. Aku pun mintak la izin dia nak balik kampung hari Khamis tu. Dia bagi greenlight (after much negotiation), hantar kitaorang kat Puduraya dan tunggu kat platform sampai bas jalan. Bubbye abah!
Ini bus ride Ikmal yang pertama (other than the usual but very very seldom Intra Kota rides), jadi dia mungkin excited sikit. Member spend ¾ masa perjalanan menjenguk ke tingkap, sebab biasa la, kalau naik kereta tu, tak banyak benda yang dia boleh nampak. Nasib baik bas tak penuh (ada kurang 10 penumpang dalam bas tu, so, kitaorang conquer la seat belakang!)
